Hey there, i'm Lynzie! I'm a fun-loving elopement photographer in Utah and beyond, who thrives upon laughter and living in the moment.
Aloha, adventure seekers and elopement enthusiasts! If you’re planning an elopement in the paradise that is Hawaii, specifically on the beautiful island of Oahu, you’re in for a treat. Oahu offers a plethora of activities that are perfect for adventurous couples looking to make unforgettable memories. Here are some of my top recommendations for adventure elopements in Hawaii: the best activities for couples, based on personal experiences and some unique finds that will add a touch of magic to your special day.

Although I didn’t have the chance to swim with sharks myself, I highly recommend it based on the incredible stories I’ve heard from others. I had the pleasure of working with the amazing couple who owns Deep Blue Eco Tours. They were one of my clients, and their passion for the ocean and its creatures is truly inspiring. They offer safe, cage-free shark swimming experiences that allow you to see these incredible animals up close while being guided by knowledgeable experts.
The adventure lets you enjoy stunning coastline views as you embark on this thrilling experience. If you’re feeling brave and looking to add an unforgettable thrill to your elopement, this is a must-do!

Hawaii is rich in culture and tradition. One of the most beautiful aspects is the art of lei making. Leis are more than just pretty garlands; they are symbols of love, respect, and aloha spirit. During my stay, I had the opportunity to participate in a lei-making workshop with Gina, and it was a deeply enriching experience.
At Eco Mindful Lei, you can learn to craft your own lei! She uses fresh, fragrant flowers along with other eco-friendly materials to keep the land of Hawaii beautiful. Gina shares the cultural significance of each flower and the lei itself, making the experience not just creative but also educational. It’s a wonderful way to connect with Hawaiian culture and create something special to wear on your elopement day.

I know it might sound a bit unconventional to make pasta in Hawaii, but trust me, this experience is worth it. I discovered an incredible Italian chef, who brings his rich culinary heritage from Italy to the islands. His pasta-making class was hands down the best culinary experience I’ve ever had.
Chef Francesco’s passion for cooking is infectious, and his knowledge of traditional Italian techniques combined with fresh local ingredients makes for an unforgettable meal. You get hands-on experience making pasta from scratch, and you get to indulge in the delicious fruits of your labor. It’s a unique, fun, and delicious way to spend time together as a couple for your adventure elopement.

For nature-loving couples, a hike to Manoa Falls is a perfect adventure. Located just a short drive from Waikiki, Manoa Falls offers a relatively easy hike through a lush tropical rainforest that leads to a stunning 150-foot waterfall. The trail is about 1.6 miles round trip and is filled with beautiful flora and fauna. It’s a great spot for some serene and scenic moments, and you’ll get some amazing photos to remember your elopement by.

While Oahu doesn’t have active volcanoes like the Big Island, you can still explore volcanic craters and formations. Diamond Head, known as Lēʻahi in Hawaiian, is one of the most famous landmarks on Oahu. The hike to the summit is moderately challenging, but the panoramic views of Honolulu and the Pacific Ocean are absolutely worth it. The trail is well-maintained and offers a bit of history along the way, making it a rewarding experience for adventurous couples.

No trip to Oahu is complete without a visit to the North Shore, especially if you’re there during the winter months when the waves are at their biggest. It’s a thrill to watch professional surfers tackle some of the world’s most famous and formidable waves at spots like Banzai Pipeline and Sunset Beach. Pack a picnic, find a spot on the beach, and enjoy the spectacle of nature’s power and human skill. It’s a perfect way to spend a relaxing and awe-inspiring afternoon together.
